Indawo was appointed as the specialist asbestos contractor for the refurbishment of the King’s Warehouse roof at the iconic V&A Waterfront in Cape Town. The project scope included the safe removal of asbestos roofing and the installation of new, compliant roofing systems.
Given the building’s location within a high-traffic retail environment, health and safety were paramount. Strict protocols were implemented to ensure the safety of shoppers, tenants, and site personnel throughout the duration of the works.
Award-Winning Safety Performance
Indawo’s commitment to safety excellence was recognised with top industry honours:
Winner of the Master Builders and Allied Trades Association (MBA) Regional Health & Safety Competition 2019 for its performance at King’s Warehouse.
