Indawo was appointed to carry out the roofing and cladding replacement at the Motus Nissan workshop in Parow. The project involved the removal of the existing roofing, including asbestos sheeting and cladding, followed by the installation of new high-performance roofing and cladding systems.
Roof sheeting was supplied by Youngman Roofing, while the interior ceiling upgrades included Lambdaboard insulation, supplied by Rigifoam, to improve energy efficiency and indoor comfort.
Safety at the Forefront
As this project took place in a fully operational workshop, careful coordination and planning were essential to avoid disruption to the client’s day-to-day operations. The safety of workers, Nissan staff, visitors, and vehicles was a top priority throughout the project.
The asbestos removal process was conducted in strict accordance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act No. 85 of 1993, as amended, and monitored by both Indawo’s and the client’s appointed Health & Safety Officers.
Outcome
The project was delivered safely, efficiently, and with minimal disruption to workshop operations - providing a modern, durable roofing system that aligns with Motus Nissan’s high standards for both safety and service excellence.
